New Surgery Spotlight: Transaxillary Endoscopic Breast Augmentation

Dr. Strock began using endoscopic techniques in 1996 at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Breast Surgery & Body Contouring Symposium 2011

The Plastic Surgery Education Network (PSEN) was on-site recently at the 26th Annual Breast Surgery and Body Contouring Symposium providing demos, recording lectures and conducting interviews of program participants. The symposium, held in Santa Fe on August 25-27, 2011 and sponsored by The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and  American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), is recognized as the premier aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery and body contouring meeting of the year. Over the course of the three-day symposium, dozens of topics were covered, including:

  • Preoperative planning, capsular contracture and managing complications in breast augmentation
  • Management of Tuberous Breast and other congenital breast disorders
  • Fat Grafting to the breast
  • Liposuction Techniques
  • Topics in massive weight loss body contouring
